Cant say it's unnecessary bc that was the whole plot right?? the spirits are just lurking around looking for an opportunity to possess (or get it on with) the MC. So yeah, getting that job ain't a good idea. It's not like the spirit they caught was the only nasty one in town. MC's like, ok we finished the main story so there'd be no more problem lol
