Idk if its true but I kinda see it as Jinseo trying to have complete ownership over Won. We already know that Jinseo has a creepy complex with saving and owning Won, with him only being happy when Won was under his roof and covered in marks Jinseo created. So to me the rings were an extra set of ownership. Not only cause they looked a bit like a cuff but also because they resemble wedding bands. A sign of absolute loyalty. To Jinseo it was probably a sign that Won was loyal to him and not after his brother (as he seemed to have a complex about losing to his brother)
