augh, I understand that marrying the son is the most logical thing to do but the idea of her marrying someone else other than Shinpei breaks my heart (even if the marriage is just on paper). Especially since FL and ML are so determined to marry each other. I really hope author takes another route here haha
okay if satoko ended up marrying the son i wouldn’t be mad. sad, devastated and heartbroken but not mad. he has the power to save everyone from her household, provide with the best of everything: food, water, shelter, medical treatment. unfortunately shinpei can’t do any of that even though they were practically born to be together..
i really hope it turns out that the son is willing to save her household, and let her leave with shinpei out of pure love and kindness but the author seems determined to make this as realistic as possible.
