She wasn't mad at him for falling victim to mind control. She was mad at the situation. She was mad at the feeling of betrayal. She thinks everything led to this because of her decisions—she made him this way. Her only goal was to survive the "Hard Mode", but she failed. She failed to secure him. That’s why, to her, none of it matters anymore. She doesn’t need him anymore. She never truly cared for him, anyway. She only looked after him for the sake of her own survival.
She’s tired. I’m not saying her actions were right, but don’t you recognize the way she’s been thinking this whole time? She sees everything as a game. She doesn’t care about any of the love interests except Callisto(¿), whom she admitted having feelings for. Even then she was willing to throw them all aside as her only was to leave and survive. She doesn’t give a f*ck. Everything could fall apart and she wouldn't care.
Reread her monologues. Even from Eckles’ POV, he’s admitted he knows she never truly cared for him, that she’s just using him. So, I don’t understand why you think her behavior is strange. No offense, but it’s like you haven’t been paying attention to her POV this whole time. She’s always been cold, calculative, and harsh, and that’s what I love about her. She’s imperfect, but in a realistic way.
Though, yeah… I do pity Eckles for being dragged along and used like that after losing everything.
im gonna be honest I really dont ljke how much theyre villanizing eclis..
