No one exactly knows of what secret (in this case item) Marquis Yan keeps and how it's activated. They also don't know exactly what it can do. Truyde is aware though that there's something like with the Marquis. Abel also didn't know what he was looking for, but when he found it, he knows that it's the thing. Also there's a reason why only the Regas is able to use that thing, it's linked to the last dragon and the burly knight.
Yes, King's Heart never had the true Regas and King's Heart is aware of it. They do know though that Abel is a true Regas and there's only one true Regas per king.

So if only true Regas hold the secret, is that the reason why the council always interrupts the process of choosing a Regas before? Does that mean, all this time the royals never had a true regas on their side?
