I agree...he almost started out having a personality in the first couple chapters...he was someone with a complicated past sure, and had a masochistic streak
FRR there was so much potential but he has been reduced to a puppet basically
Chaon is kinda like a piece of inventory at this point and the plot is somewhat on halt (right before catharsis ig - the big kidnapping haha…) but it kinda irks me that chaon is just getting pushed around left and right. Drugged, raped, abused … all that … he has like no personality right now?? oh well the angst is extremely yummy tho
