Can you tell me the symbolism of the ink and bird scene? I stopped reading and just continued it so my minds a bit foggy
U GET ITTTT, i literally go aw evertime there is a scene where brett has like the double white spark in his eyes instead of one bc im pretty sure from a visual story telling point those are the moments teh characters open their heart/fall in love
alsoI freaking love that we get to see the visual reason on why brett closes back up and ends the relationship, he doesn’t want to get rejected by hayden :((
BRETT'S REFUSAL TO COMFORT IS SO HEART WRENCHING. When hayden went to console him, he pushed him back almost immediately. Him telling hayden he couldn't call him if he got into a crash because he'd want a more "rational" solution rather than calling a person for comfort. Hayden telling him how he's the one retreating into his cave because he's the one denying the genuine romance that could come from their relationship. Really shows how he was raised.
Also the bird scene with the ink dripping over him was so excellent & the call back to the previous chapters IS SOOO GOOD I LOVE THIS STORY OH MY GOD THE RAW EMOTIONS FROM BOTH THESE CHARACTERS MAKE ME FSCHDCHSJG SEASON 3 CANT COME SOONER
