"its just fiction!!!!!!!!" people forget that we as consumers are allowed to criticise the media that we consume. i think the problem in this situation is the INTENTIONS behind the authors writing - the author is for real trying to convince us that a 20 yr old dating a 16 yr old is normal when in reality you would get into actual deep shit if you actually did that as a 20yr old. authors are allowed to write about morally grey themes because yes it's just fiction - but it becomes a problem when you romanticise these themes.
i was actually hoping the author would go in the direction of miyai having unrequited love because of the the age gap which wouldve been an interesting theme to explore, but nahhhh author just couldnt resist having a creepy teacher chracter
I completely agree with this and love how you worded it!! But I think in japan this would probably be legal. As always though legality ≠ morality Elle ne parle pas francais
honestly, apart of me did forget that it's legal in japan and that the legality is a contributing factor ;-; i really wish that wasn't the case 'cause now people really out here defending such an inappropriate relationship using legality as an argument :/
