I mean fiction can absolutely protray gray areas, and when done properly that's fine. But this is yaoi. This is just smut with layers. And personally, I just don't enjoy these common tropes (rape and pedophilia) when I'm just out here trying to have a good time. If the series is marketed a certain way, sure, but this was just a fluffy romance and then boom......a 16 year old and an adult. Not the worst I've read lately though, and I'll keep on for the main couple, but it does feel uncomfortably out of place.

Yeah, I totally get where you're coming from. Things definitely took a turn in the story, and I get why people feel weird about it. But since it’s yaoi/BL, a lot of these tropes tend to show up, and honestly, I kind of expected it while reading. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea, and that’s totally valid. Personally, I didn’t get predatory vibes. It felt more like the usual high school crush kind of thing. And stuff like this exists in real life too, so I just read it with an open mind. As long as it’s not violent or something I find personally triggering, I usually just keep reading. In the end, everyone processes fiction differently, and that’s okay. Appreciate you sharing your thoughts. Peace out, share the love! (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ
Comments are getting wild, but I’m just chilling here. I know this topic can be really sensitive, and I respect everyone’s opinion here. I just see it as just fiction exploring a gray area. Not really defending anything that’s harmful or inappropriate, but I think fiction can dive into complex relationships without promoting them in real life. It’s just a story, and I get that it’s not for everyone. That said, I’m just here for the ride ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ I hope Nomiya and Shiba get more screen time soon! (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ
