To be fair, they basically grew up together, so i don't blame him for trusting ML. He was like a brother to him HOWEVER i blame him for being so trusting towards professor. And yes, you can feel sorry for someone super naive. Plenty of naive people get taken advantage of and it's sad.
I understand that they’re childhood friends but that’s still very naive to take a pill you know NOTHING about, even his friend tried to tell him that there’s nothing online about the pill.
His friend told him that there's no information about the pill after he already started taking them (the damage was already done). After this information, he started suspecting them and stopped(hence why blond ml got annoyed when he saw how many were still left). He went back to trusting them when he saw his professor giving one to him, which offered him the assurance that they are 'common' pills (if the professor also consumes them) and therefore 'safe'. While he is indeed naive, there's still logic behind his actions, which is connected to the familiarity and trust he feels over the ml bitch.
Personally, i don't get the mentality of 'hating' or 'not feeling bad' for characters just because they are naive and/or less intelligent. They still deserve sympathy over their unfair treatment.
I kinda understand for Jiheon because that's his childhood friend and they are very close and ofc he trusts him but the professor?? He barely knows and took it from him and look where that led to.. rape and manipulation
It really depends because sometimes they just be doin this to themselves. As in, some things are totally avoidable, and I really dislike when bottoms are so stupid and naive when they get themselves into these types of situations, I need a smart and logical bottom for once （￣へ￣）but that’s just me ig, I’ll still read it cause I love the artstyle, the plots okay with it’s occasional plot twists
