Cop out

This was a fun read, but the whole “not the biological daughter.” And “bit by a zombie” was such a cop out. Let’s be real gang, they only made him not the biological father so they can justify the romance with “she was always his true love.” Type shit. Like the grandmother says “when did they have time to get in the sheets.” Like the baby son appearing so they can throw a ‘his biological bloodline continues.’ Type shit.

Honestly the subplot of the real father coming back was unnecessary and to have him killed and the body found but some schizo lady which results in all this happening was kinda rushed. Like I’m happy the daughter is cured and so is everyone else in the nation , but I felt like this could have gone about a different way.
This didn’t feel like a bitter sweet ending but just a rushed ending tbh. What did him turning into a zombie have to do ? Him as a human covering his daughter and behind shot in the arm or something would have sufficed and had the same effect tbh. Pull a nezuko and giyuu moment or something smh.

Overall fun read but I’m slightly disappointed.

wait i'm here for the father-daughter relationship plot because i saw there will be live adaptation for this, and the title itself says 'daughter' and then they really pushed for a romance????!!

I phrased it in a weird way. Dw the father and daughter dynamic is here! The romance is between the father and his neighbour / daughter’s teacher NOT the daughter . Spoilers: My overall problem with this story was the forced romance, and the trope where if a father has a daughter, then the daughter will be adopted in order to justify their romance with someone else for the “true love” trope. Like trying to say “dw that isn’t his biological daughter ! He never slept with anyone else before” type shit with the purity culture if you get me.

It's still going to be annoying to read the romance between the teacher and the father anyway it feels like pushing romance in a manhwa where the whole point is the relationship between father and daughter yes teh relationship dosent change but the romance was just unnecessary and the child at the last annoyed me so much more like come on they are trying to make this like his true legacy lived on or smt
