It's actually pretty decent read, dont expect ilay to change in main story passion. Like he's born psychopath, and he didn't immediately behaved "human" which is natural and make sense, there's so many communication they went thru before finally ilay becoming good, i mean by his standard, someone who doesn't have humanity, tae is alr being treated special. And then, we see his obvious development in Diaphonic Symphonia (two couples in the novel, time skip though, after tae living in berlin for years) no rape in Diaphonic Symphonia for iltae (one scene might come across as dubcon) but overall it's not as 'dark' as any other dark BL. Probably tae's mentality also helps, like he's not easy to traumatized, tae is typical "go with the flow" kind of guy, and he did like ilay back

The noncon is actually from what i read in passion manhwa, a bit toned down and less detailed from the novel. At the end of the main story, ilay would raped tae violently due to his anger and jealousy, it's so detailed in the novel. But that would be the last non con for this couple. The rest of their sex next after the main story end is consensual, some would see it as dubious consent, but overall after, they are alr like married couple, mostly the "noncon" and psycho aspect of ilay is bearable due to tae's chill personalities. Honestly, in main story, not much plot happening, just Ilay making Tae as a fugitive so then he would stay in berlin— then in Diaphonic Symphonia, years later, Ilay would try to negotiate so tae's fugitive status can be removed. For people who dislike slow pace romance, some might find it boring indeed. But overall it's a good read. And I do reccomend the novel series more.

There is once final rape scene before this saga ends ( but it’s probably quite a few chapters until the webcomic rescues that scene) and it was uncomfortable to read, but like a commenter mentioned in another comment, Tae is the type of character that doesn’t hold on to any anger or resentment for long and he was already aware of his feelings, so it’s uncomfortable and it may piss you off, but it’s resolved in a definite manner (so no more misunderstandings).
Oh it was basically Xinlu’s fault that it even happened.
I made it 8 chapters a few years ago and stopped because I read somewhere there’s noncon/SA/rape. Is this the “usual” BL or is this more Black Rose Blooms type? I dropped Black Rose Blooms, that was too much for me. Even Profundis was nearly dropped - scrolled through some chapters cause I just couldn’t. How bad is this? I can handle some, but I can’t tell by the comments just how bad this is.
(Yes, it’s sad that this is such a cliche with BL. I’m not trying to start anything, just want to know whether I can handle this or not…)
