I'm glad the author acknowledged Argio's stupidity in raping MC as soon as he woke up and could speak. We finally have the story of that moment: an uncontrollable urge brought on by holding back and, also, because all the emotions that surged for the first time in his life. Well, it's still wrong, but at least he got better and repented. He became more loving and protective, and it gave MC a chance to see his growth and his journey to becoming a different man, not the "Argio" of the book, the cruel one.
