Yeah, ruining someones career is horrible, but losing your family, no matter how much they suck, means the end of the world for some people. What she did was horrible, but give the poor girl some slack.
She did that to someone who for the first time ever in her life, told her that what she was going through wasn't normal. This is someone who even though he wasn't so close to her, he had her back. Honestly I agree with OP. We can see where she comes from but there is still no excuse at all. That's like saying we should understand why parents abuse their own kids bc their own parents did.
