Yes, that’s definitely a valid point. It was a reckless thing to do, and from her perspective it could have severe consequences, but that’s even more of a reason to have a proper conversation about everything, especially about how to move forward.
Plus, they’re very likely going to end up together, so seeing how drastically she switched her behavior toward him in a moment of panic — although understandable on a human level — is just hurtful.

Another thing I thought about was why he even did what he did to begin with. He’s not dumb, so there must have been an underlying reason for faking his age on a dating app. Honesty, the only explanation that makes sense is that he was either trying to get attention from his family or distance himself from them completely. He probably thought that by acting out he would ruin his family's reputation. I mean, his dad was the one that took his mom away from him, and so this could've been his way of getting back at him — an eye for an eye essentially. But then the FL got in the way of his plan because he ended up falling for her.

True, the only reason he would want his dad’s attention tho is to get to his mom, but that would likely only work if he managed to either impress or threaten his father in some way — and honestly, I’m not sure how effective that would be with this "plan". Also, I don’t think he actually knew where she worked (unless it was in her dating profile, which could be the case — Idk, can't rlly remember). But it doesn’t seem like he thought everything through in-depth, purely based on the conversations he had with his school friend and his thoughts and actions toward her thus far.

Atp, Imma also gonna need her bff to talk to the ML and apologize because I get that he’s trying to protect her, but dude was way too harsh and honestly kinda fake. It literally hasn’t even been 24h since you gave your ‘approval’ and accepted defeat, but once shit hits the fan, you immediately bounce back, break character and come at him with that ‘I knew it all along’ bullshit? Touch some grass!!

Real. Him dating older girls is a mystery to me. like, how does that supposed to get your father’s attention when you’re just supposed to be dating 5 years older than you. And, I agree, he doesn’t seem like he thought everything through and through that’s why he didn’t calculate that he would end up liking her and having to reveal his age because they are both getting serious.
Also, he really didn’t know where she was working at first (in the dating app) until at the end of their first date where she dropped her company card and he happens to pick it up. It was also said in some chapters that he just uses her at first in his advantage since she’s working in his dad’s company.
I feel like you read this manhwa before me so you forgot some parts and I just happens to read it recently so some are still fresh. hahaha. ( ̄∇ ̄")

Honestly, I can't even remember when I picked this up exactly, but it's been a while so some of the smaller details are a bit blurry to me. What I do remember tho is that it didn't feel like he had any ulterior motives, it more so came across as a genuine encounter. Well, as genuine as it can get, considering I think the main reason he was interested in someone older was because it was controversial, and he knew it. It might be that he was trying to rebel against his father — but in a way this still seemed small enough form him to avoid serious consequences. Technically, he would still be the high schooler in the situation, so it wouldn’t really be his fault. Still, it would reflect badly on him and, more importantly, on his father.
It could even lead people to question his father’s parenting, which might bring even more unwanted attention to their family. And with that spotlight, people could end up uncovering the situation with his mom. That being said, I’m not sure if that is what the author intends to do with this, or if I’m simply overthinking things.
I’ve been sitting with this chp for a bit, and honestly, I need to get this off my chest. I rlly connected with the FL throughout the story—she’s been consistently empathetic, understanding, and emotionally mature, which is why her reaction in this chp felt like such a letdown to me.
Yes, the age gap is a gray area, and yes, he lied. But it wasn’t out of malice—it was fear, insecurity, and a desperate attempt to not lose something meaningful. He didn’t defend his actions, he owned up to them. He even tried to open up before, and when he finally told the truth, you could feel how terrified and vulnerable he was. That moment deserved a conversation. Being confused or even in denial is also valid, sure. But to just run away without giving him a chance to explain, after everything they shared? That felt like a real lapse in character, especially for someone as emotionally grounded as her.
I’m not saying she had to forgive him, or continue dating him—but completely shutting down and walking away felt cold and, honestly, a little cruel. It frustrates me how often stories like this fall into the same trope of an older character finding out the younger one lied about their age, and immediately treating them like a manipulative liar. Them distancing themselves is framed as “the responsible adult thing to do,” but to me, it often just looks like emotional avoidance.
I don’t think love excuses deception, but emotional maturity means being able to process the context behind a lie too. And he showed so much growth, honesty, and vulnerability in the last few scenes. He deserved at least a talk.
