I’ve read the novel so I’m definitely biased. The frustrations u bring up r definitely addressed.

Yoon even says that it’s selfish to make the strong suffer just for justice.

But there’s a valid reason they want him, they don’t want him just for fun.

Yoons mental state is addressed. He has extreme survivors guilt

Plus he doesn’t want to hide and be lowkey. He wants to die. The only reason he is alive is to carry out the wills of the people who died. And then he literally plans to die. Plus he keeps using his powers because he wants everyone safe, and his resolve is shaken.

And Jiwan, yes he is a bit annoying in the beginning, but later his selflessness is shown

BIT OF A SPOILER . Yoon eventually finds comfort in the fact that Jiwan genuinely wants to protect everyone and Jiwan is the one who Yoon finally find emotional comfort in. Jiwan gets genuinely disturbed at what Yoon gone through and is frustrated for him.

Every character has their own motivations. And the survivors guilt shown in Yoon is extremely well done. And the guild excessively trying to find Yoon has a reason. So, if that interests u then I’d say pick it back up.

I dont care about their reason. The way they approached things were selfish and downright rude. Its an invasion of privacy. The author could've come up with a better excuse. I almost dropped this sht. They've been pissing me off for 30 straight chapters.

Right?? Don’t listen to these people man, I read through to the latest chapter hoping to see these people humble themselves and the way it’s looking is not good. Don’t read further if you don’t want spoilers. You don’t have to read it either. Just in case you were curious about whether your decision to skip this webtoon was valid.

Their behaviour and attitude is pretty nasty, I don’t understand how the they justify trying to forcefully drag him out in the open when they knew from the beginning that the only other survivor has essentially lost their mind. The Seme only begins to consider it in the more recent chapters when the ML is retelling what happened in the dungeon. Which I think is pretty dumb. Why the hell wouldn’t he be traumatised?? They don’t even really seem to be considering how traumatising it is for him to be recounting the story. Dawg’s popping sedatives/meds every five seconds. The logic of this story suffocates brain cells.

They were disgustingly forceful on him when they were in the second dungeon and figured out he was highly likely to be the guy they were were looking for. It wasn’t even a super high level one and these people were struggling, they started relying on him pretty early into it and they admit that a lot of people would have died without him. He gets forced into revealing a skill cause he doesn’t want everyone to die and they have the nerve to be mad at him for not revealing it earlier. Why? so you could all invade his life and force him into protecting you some more? The guy giving him the most shit is literally one of the other dudes they rounded up in a group for hiding their capabilities….

Completely valid! But you also have to remember that no one besides Seo really knows what happened in the original great dungeon. There were no stories written so everyone knew it was tough but HOW hard and traumatizing it was, no one knows.

Also they are literally told that Earth will cease to exist in a few months so they are hoping to find Seo as a way to not rewrite the old Revengers history again. Imminent doom does make people go crazy.

It is also revealed in the novel that if the Great Dungeons reappearance was made early and public, Seo would have volunteered to reveal himself immediately. Like he would’ve marched into Sekyoungs guild office immediately and turn himself in lol

Personally, I don’t think the manhwa does the novel justice, there’s a lot of other factors at play that are covered in the novel but not in the manhwa. Especially Jihan. He’s annoying and cocky at first but he’s genuinely a really good guy. Like such a green flag.

Bro the main point is INVASION OF PRIVACY, BLACKMAIL AND PETTINESS.

No one knows sure but they could've come up with different approach to force him to come out. not forcing everybody to join and threatens to publicly humiliate them if they refused

But like the only other person they knew was in there, can barely hold conversations because of how messed up she is. And if they were thinking logically, who wouldn’t be messed up after going in with over 1k people and only have 2-3 come out. If he’s in hiding then, take his word for it, he’s not into it.

I see what ya saying, but even if he would have been willing, they didn’t know that. All they knew realistically is that he was trying to hide. Just find that a bit gross is all. They should’ve announced it like the did the first time so people could choose.

they're assholes abt it but that's bc they think Seo's an asshole who dgaf abt ppl dying, so they have to take drastic measures to recruit him for the end of the world. in their pov as an S class shielder why else would he not be going to dungeons and helping could've saved so many lives over the years with a wave of his finger. there's also the hero worship. you seen the other chars talking abt Seo? ppl in this universe see the name Seo Chanyoung as a symbol, a hero with god like shielding powers who survived a world ending dungeon unlike his comrades. we know he's no perfect hero he's traumatized af but to the chars who aren't omniscient readers and are nowhere near his level of power, at first, he's like a legendary item they need on their side. current arc is destroying their perfect vision of him and showing them that he's human.

hate on the chars for it if you want, but don't hate on the author. the author set it up well. didn't know there was a novel, ill be checking that out

"criticize the chars but don't bring the author into it". they set up the reasoning and themes well. everyone's frustrated at the chars trying to force recruit Seo lmao its not like the author portrays what they did in a positive light. but ya if ur 30 chs in and hate it then drop it.

but i can give you the in-character plot summary of if they'd taken the nice route and announced it publicly. Seo joins the final dungeon willingly, no pre-dungeons to lure him out, no one knows abt his potion immunity. he sacrifices himself as redemption for his survivor's guilt. it would've been a 10 ch story abt the MC killing himself.

I think you’re forgetting that the author is purposely writing them this way to build drama- if they wrote it to your preference, this whole story would completely change genre to a happy go lucky type shit

The author knows that the people pressuring Seo are annoying and disrespectful. You only see the story from Seo’s perspective so we (the readers) actually don’t have the whole story. So everyone else just feels like nuisances but that’s the pointtttttttt the point is to isolate Seo even further to highlight his trauma further and build up to the second half of the story

also later in the novel Jihan literally wants to ban Seo from entering dungeons because of his trauma and healing resistance but Seo rejects that. He’s not being forced to work, he just wants to help everyone and then die. But if his death ends up hurting others, Seo would rather live

If you seem to hate the characters so much and hate how the author is writing them, wattpad and Ao3 is free and you can write everyone to fit your cup of tea exactly
