I felt exactly the same. His whole character seemed to snowball in an unpleasant way
Yeah, he is the most unpleasant ML I've read in years... That's not even an exaggeration because I enjoy yandere-ML novels.

Kinda wished they didnt end up together, y'know, like its one of those work u just wished that it has a bad ending. In my opinion, they dont suit being together.
I contemplated multiple times if I should drop it because of the angst, but couldn't because its about to end and I wanted to see what'll happen

Exactly, after all that bullshit ML pulled, a bad ending would be WAY better. I'd respect it more and probably give a higher score.

Cause honestly, i wish i didnt read it till the end. It made my head hurt and feel very angry at these fictional characters

I ADORED this story before the author ruined it with unnecessary angst. I went from absolutely loving ML to straight hating his guts in the last 1/3 of the comic.
He broke his ONE BIG promise with FL. I wouldn't forgive that. He forgot that she was sold to him and he himself promised to wait for her to be inlove with him. Then he created drama just to selfishly torture her. He didn't care what trauma she lived, he only cared about his own feelings.
I'm not saying she was without fault since she kept acting like a concrete wall but that was unacceptable.
It left a bad taste in my mouth.
