Unfortunately that's just the way it is. The church has the masses in their pocket, so no matter if it's unfair, if the people believe in the church they have absolute authority. To fight them and prove otherwise is hard.
Isn't that an unfair trial tho? If the church is the one to accuse and church is the one to rule over the case, they would need to work 300% harder to win against the church
