I almost threw up after my first kiss, I just thought it was disgusting. I think I liked the person I kissed then, but I couldn't stop gagging after the fact. Being disgusted by an act does not necessarily mean you hate the person you've done it with, it could just be the lack of knowledge. I still think kissing is a bit disgusting, but I'm more than willing to do it now because over time I've realized why people kiss.
Also I think maybe the kid is being secretly treated by the doctor or has become one of those undead things. The dad looked like he was crying.
