I dunno why but for me Ash kinda just had a weird almost untrustworthy vibe in the main story, then in the side stories he was too pushy and a little manipulative during the smut scenes.
Honestly, I was never fond of Ash, especially not in these side stories. But hey, as long as my beloved King Lyle is happy then I'm happy(▰˘◡˘▰)
