Honestly, what is up with these ratings lately (from what I've noticed). Decent or good stories get bad ratings, and not-so-great stories get better ratings.
Sadly this is how it has been working for some time now. It's a 50/50 gamble if you want to trust the ratings. Sometimes I feel like if the characters are not immediately doing something interesting or freaky deaky many folks downvote the story. Like bros, let the author cook smh
And this is one of these times. We ain't even getting most of the story yet
