I read the novel and no, the king isn't going to die, Rine saved him in time. He wasn't poisoned, he had a heart attack (or something like that) Rine was still accused as the poisoned by Dione, who went to the queen with 'proof' that the poison Rine's bastard of a father gave her.
Dione's downfall will be in the next couple of chapters. Rine calmly explained that the queen accused Rine of murdering the king without any proof that the king was poisoned, so she got some negative backlash from the nobles. The queen cuts Diane off rather quickly, pretending to be manipulated/ fooled by Diane, but Rine still held the queen for her accusations. The knights who were Diane's brother's friends all turned their back against Diane and told the nobles about Diane's wrongdoings and she was banished and never mentioned again.
The king recovered, thanks to Rine. The bottle of poison that was used as the proof of the king's poisoning was brought up by Diane, and at first everyone were convinced that she poisoned the king, but Rine poured the contents on her hands and was about to put them on her face when Hamir and Tarkan both touched her hands. They weren't poisoned because Rine had already exchanged the poison with bath bombs lmaoo
