That misunderstanding didn't feel tragic, just stupid. It just didn't hit
Wdym "I didn't want to make you unhappy" you literally made him miserable by not explaining anything.
This really needed Hayato reacting to Touma's death and crying tears of blood, like I needed to see that with my own eyes, him realising that he fucked up
