Well I think it makes a great contrast...the ML and the people around the MC are all freaks and has too much personality that it highlights the MC' s normality or naivety...

I like how the character are written, I really do, but the mc? He feels so.. lackluster? In comparison to literally everyone else and their personalities. Not sure if it's just me.
