I’ve read that too. Still, he’s a beta though. In omegaverse logic, being an omega induces heat, unleashes animalistic instincts, and even attract alphas that they may or may not want. I just view it as the uke being like a beta woman, not biologically, but in a sense that he can get pregnant and has no pheromones that (again, in omegaverse logic) can seduce alphas and some can even delude themselves into thinking that they love that person when it’s the pheromones speaking, not the heart.

That essentially means that the seme, an alpha with pheromones that can be influenced with omega pheromones, chose and loved the uke while not being under the influence of any pheromones. Yes, the uke can still get pregnant but it’s not like the seme is just choosing the uke because he can get pregnant when in that world, there are omegas that can also give birth regardless of gender and even has pheromones to make them feel even better sexually. And generally speaking, it’s not like you love someone just because they can have a child with you, putting this here since that’s the only omega quality uke has which only ticks off one and I don’t view it as enough qualification for me to view the uke being no different from an omega.

Also to add, I just view the uke being able to get pregnant as the author’s cherry on top to guve us cute baby drawings lol and also to be able to give the uke the family that he so desire his entire life. I think that’s well deserved given how much he suffered constantly being hurt by his family.

To add to what I think the author’s purpose is about giving mc the ability to get pregnant is probably to also rationalize him feeling secured and loved instead of:

1. being paranoid of weather the ML really loves him or is it just the pheromones (if author made him an omega)
2. Doubting if he’s even worthy of ML, an alpha prince, and drowning himself in self-deprecating thoughts.

I understand your way of thinking and I respect it too. I have read many types of omegaverse stories and considering their diversity, in some omegas differ from betas only in the ability to have children and heat. In some of them, as you write, the authors go deeper into the topics of nesting, pheromones, bonds, social status and also approach these topics differently. To be honest, I don't really remember how this issue is presented in this comic, I just feel a kind of ick (idk if its proper word im not a native English speaker) every time I read a story with a beta and the author finds a way to finally bring him closer to the omega, e.g. by making the beta magically pregnant. If he wanted to add a child and a family-building storyline, they might as well have adopted them or something. But I understand that some people don't mind it and it's just my specific preference ╮(￣▽￣)╭
