I like your theory and thought about something similar as well but something else came to mind right now … the head family are being really persistent and adamant that the sacrifices have to die, because if they don’t die and the Mugos keep them alive as companions, then the riches and fortunes will end, right? So what if Mugo was divine in the past too, and he fell in love 100 years ago, with a human. So the head family killed his mate so that he would continue granting them whatever riches they wished for. That heartbreak and devastation literally broke his heart and soul, into several entities

I have a feeling Jaheon will get kidnapped somehow by the head family, they’ll probably use him as a bait to get whatever they want (even more than they’re already getting because they’re manipulative, evil, greedy bastards) from Lord Mugo and Jaheon will be pregnant with his/their baby/babies and that will cause the Lord to go completely berserk and absolute mayhem because they stole HIS MATE and he will set fire to the rain and make the world burn and I cannot wait to see that happen! *giggles crazily excited*

Also I have a theory that the heads of the family a long time ago killed mugos soulmate/lover and he went on a rampage killing the clans people but then a god/goddess blessed AND cursed him with powers like to be able to live for many years until he finds the his lover again. This would also explain why he’s said to be a god by others but mugo himself said that gods and have heats but he had oneso he’s like something in between. But mugo still felt the pain from the loss of his lover so he copes by having multiple personalities like he prob went crazy . I also think mugo made a deal with the clan heads something like “you give me an omega every couple years and I won’t kill all of you” he’s prob looking for his lover that he thinks will reincarnate into the family and I think he did into Jaheon. Oh also!! I think the gods cursed him by making him forget his lover idk why tho But still Jaheon lived a hard life I hope mugo takes revenge for him
