I agree and I think it has to be Shuumei who says it first since Yuuma is the one who confessed. Although I do think if either says it the other will have to immediately acknowledge he is also crossdressing which may get complicated
In my mind the next logical step is for Shuumei to come out as a man to Hana but not reveal his identity, leading Hana to think he’s just like Shizuku (AKA trans/ genderqueer) and be like “you’re still you, Mei. My feeling won’t change.” Also works visa versa. Obviously I wish the big reveal would just happen already, but if they really need to draw this out even more I think the above scenario would be hysterical.
