i have a theory. this whole situation is a distraction.
soooo the kid is “sick” right? my theory is that guwon will find out and kill the child brutally without a second thought if he thinks the kid is infected. the dad will plead and beg for guwon not to kill him. But he WILL. and it’ll show why everyone in town is nervous and afraid around him. they’ve seen him kill anything or one who he deems is a threat to their peace and he puts up a front of being innocent/naive about it like “what, isn’t it normal to completely rip apart a threat in cold blood?”
and teach will be traumatized, realizing he’s actually vicious and maybe not completely human
