Tbh, I have to slightly? disagree with you there. Some people claim themselves to be Christians and use that to justify their actions and say that "god has forgiven me" without ever truly repenting or like "god will bless you if you help me" after doing something selfish. I just find people like that disgusting and not kind at all. Had a bad experience with one or two so I try to steer clear of them.
Don’t disagree with you at all. Just as you said, plenty of people use God to justify being absolutely terrible users and abusers of people, when they should be helping and serving others, as God calls Christians to do. And just as you said, unlike these people aren’t truly kind and aren’t truly Christian at all— thank you for sharing your experience, and I’m sorry you’ve encountered such disappointing folks. Please don’t let these individuals shape your idea of God or Christians, we’re a pleasant lot—flawed, but pleasant—scouts honor lol.
