Khalid gets no sympathy from me.

Save the sob story for someone you didn't murder & offer her head to the enemy king.
At the end of the day he's just an obsessed piece of shit. Making excuses for his trash behavior & murderous acts. As if killing Estelle wasn't enough. To think he was involved in her father's death. Is there no level he won't stoop to to imprison her?
And, what is she thinking? A territory war? She isn't Estelle. She has zero training in that frail noble woman's body. Yet, she somehow plans to win? No wonder zed is furious.
If she doesn't come clean, she's going to lose him. And that would ruin the story for me. It took so long for her to get out of her own way & accept that she has feelings for him. If they don't end up happy together, I'll be very disappointed.
On second thought, maybe she doesn't deserve him. He drank, what he believed
was, poison for her. And she can't give him the simple courtesy of letting him in on her plans.
Ugh, I could rant for pages, but I'll stop here.

I don't believe that chapter is out yet. But, even a win may not mend her relationship with zed.
It was ironic to watch Estelle going on & on about her friends not telling her about a party & that she's cutting them off because of the betrayal. Yet, Luci did exactly that same thing to zed.
It's probably the author's way to make Luci see things from Khalid's perspective.
Even though there a similarities to their circumstances, their response to said circumstances are worlds apart.
I get Khalid was broken from a young age, but how did he go from "I'll protect her by concealing the truth" to "ill kill her so she never has to learn the truth"?
I felt a slight tinge in my heart when the king nearly beat him to death. And, to see his shell of a father tell him to do nothing. So, I suppose I feel a little sympathy for lil Khalid. I can excuse a child who didn't tell her for fear that the king might physically harm her. But, as an adult, would you not want the person you care so dearly for to know everything she's so willing to die for is a lie?
He is just a twisted psycho who killed who he loved the most because once she learned he concealed the truth from her, she'd hate him. And rightly so. I can't begin to imagine what she felt as she learned the truth as Luci. To learn that every single person she held dear lied to her at every turn. Devastated doesn't come close to what she must've felt.
On to the subject of Zed, she should've told him who she was. Estelle & Zed shared conversations no one was privy to. That's how she could have proven it.
Well, what's done is done. The only way she can ever hope to plead her way back into Zed's good graces, is to tell him everything. All cards on the table. Everything laid bare. And beg for forgiveness.

Apologies all I forgot not everyone reads multi versions of a single series. Usually English is my last version to read to actually understand what's going on lmfao I consume a sh!t ton of raws/ novels / spoiler reviews to get a scope of everything ヾ(☆▽☆)
