I thought he's gonna hunt another dragon to gift him, and then I remember how could he be so petty and jealous too, and I assume he's gonna gift him something from him like a loose scale since it can regrow. But the eyes, I never thought about it. Lol.
Also, there's a very common thing in every story with a dragon. The dragon orb or something. And I guess that's what he gave Eyra. I could be wrong too since it's too small. Haha. But that orb represents a dragon partner/mate for life. So maybe....
