She doesn't have the time, money, or luxury to care about those things. She works multiple jobs when she's not in school/studying and what money she does make goes towards food and necessities. She doesn't have time to do a whole skincare routine and straighten her hair every morning lol

It’s not hard to take care of yourself, you can still use cheap products. And I don’t get why she feels like she needs to clean up all the mess around her and overwork herself to death just because her parents died when it isn’t even her fault but she feels that way for some reason. i feel like she can do it but chooses to ignore it. And I’m not saying she needs to doll up, she can at least get the basics done because her way of living is already very u healthy. She’s just pushing herself until eventually it catches up to her and she falls ill. She should take the advice of the people back at home and just go back, but oh well what can you expect from a high schooler who barely had control

i once wrote a comment talking abt this. sami is avoiding to live her old luxurious life style because of the guilt she feels for her parents death. it’s made her realize how superficial those things were in comparison to what was really important (her parents) and that is why she’s punishing herself by living completely independently and no longer valuing looking beautiful and well put together. i like this plot a lot because it reflects how irrelevant those things are. also, it is not a reach to say she’s still grieving and depressed so of course she’s not gonna do her hair, buy stylish clothes and care about her appearance bruh. she literally is avoiding doing all the things back then because she feels it was all just not important as important as having her family.

But her family is already gone, she can’t keep doing that forever. Life is all about going forward, what she’s doing is unhealthy and she needs therapy. Her guardians ignoring this is also at fault. Sometimes u just need to accept it and move on but she doesn’t realize that yet

well, this is the plot of the story that the author is writing. i’m sure she’s gonna take better care of herself at one point into the story. but these aren’t real ppl so like real solutions don’t work here. it’s a comic, so many things are gonna be way off from reality. it isn’t that serious of an issue to me imo i don’t mind her looking this way bc i know there is a plot reason behind it which is also very creative writing. they should make this into a kdrama lowkey
