further spoilers:
he is trying to find an alternative solution to the mc's eternal life problem: he's trying to break the eternal life curse so the mc can die a natural death when his time comes (so the mc can age with the ml, coz the ml loves him too much to let him just die after he ends the organization)
Novel readers, spoil me. Last chapter of season 1, he promised he'll end the mc's life... Will he be able to do it????
