MADK was hella weird and its very graphic with rape and other things but it doesnt feel erotic at all. although its labelled as yaoi, it doesn't really feel like it. its more a tale of obsession and power. tbh i didn't really like most of it but damn the ending was well done. it still haunts me.

I'm looking for stories under any genre that have homoerotic undertones/overtones but don't necessarily/explicitly focus on romance or don't have any romance at all. Things like Sangyang the Wanderer (film noir mystery with romantic tension on the side), Killing Stalking (a thriller with 2 male MCs grappling with trauma), Sunnyside Daycare Classmates (basically an action Shounen story with amazing powers and world building and gay sex on the side). I'm fine with anything as long as the writing is good.
I haven't read these two yet but from what I've seen I think they might fall under that category: Hikaru ga Shinda Natsu, Zankoku na Kami ga Shihai Suru.
