Someone said, "Just 'cause Joseph didn't have magic, she chose Erez." Well, not really! Joseph's lack of magic wasn't a barrier in her first life when he was incredibly loyal. Her choice in the second life seems more about her personal growth, a different kind of connection she has with Erez, and wanting a different future than the one she had. I do understand those who wanted Joseph and Kiera together; I mean, who wouldn't root for them? Joseph had that unwavering loyalty towards her in both the first and second lives. (There's more to it other than loyalty but I'm too lazy to type now.)
