chp. 86: kayla looks like such a weak leader....what was THAT

the whole table convo has me feeling like Kayla's not taking the whole situation seriously enough which is irritating from a supposed 'leader of the family'. her inability to convince the siblings just feels like she lacks that strong leadership and guidance they need right now. She should have been WAY more stern and used that moment to re-establish the families neutrality or to address any other concerns other members of the family have (showing she cares, is listening, but also HAS A PLAN so they should continue to believe and trust in her).

additionally the siblings outburst could be a serious indicator of simmering sentiment among the other family members (aka the siblings are close enough to Kayla to say this shit but are also likely emboldened by other family members echoing their same thoughts).

this conversation made me lose some respect for Kayla ngl...like girl wtf? ik those are ur family members but ur also a LEADER and need to be really clear on what the plan is and WHY to convince them so they don't rebel or betray her later for their OWN ambitions (which I'm pretty sure they're going to do based on their exit lol)

I don't agree, she stated that they will remain neutral as a leader would and she was firm with it, ofcourse maybe she could've given reasons but her father dis that anyway. Her biggest reason is that she knows what will happen and she can't tell her family she can see the future

I agree to some extent, she could have addressed their concerns better for sure for their peace of mind, but like Nikeko said, her decision is based on her knowing the future (something she can't exactly tell them), also highkey, the family isn't forced to stay there

She was clear from the beginning, everyone who stays in the castle will be protected, those who disagree with her can leave but won't receive protection in the future, I think she didn't bother to explain or convince them coz at the end of the day even if they do betray her, she and her immediate family [ESPECIALLY her brother] are too OP to actually be hurt by them, really she's doing them (random strangers lowkey) a favor, if they don't want it she's not too pressed about it
