I also saw that the seme was raped, and the uke was sorta part of that plan.
Not saying that the uke deserved what happened later but I can somewhat see a universe where the seme was doing a revenge thing.(￣∇￣")
So I came back and after reading it again, the entire revelation about the seme was completely useless. If you read it like that doesn't exist the story doesn't change. The uke still treats the same the same just with the added revelation of "oh wow is me he is obsessed with me but I must keep my feelings under wraps so that he can take over the family".
Doesn't change the story. Honestly if you had selective amnesia and read this story same result just slightly less toxic.
On another note you came back and read the bonus story after reading the main story and was shocked at what happened. Why didn't you guys choose not to read it once you realised what was happening or take it off your reading list?? I hate this story about this incredibly messed up relationship but I still want notifications to see if it updates.
