Bring back the guillotine for luan

Nobles have too much power—that’s why there were guillotines. I don’t know how to feel about the story. I feel the intense heartbreak that Clauden felt when he was disregarded/beaten close to death without a thought. If Luan wanted to, he could’ve just asked him a question before having him beaten. He has so many questions in the side stories. Is greed that much of a sin, that people deserve to be beaten close to death, when a few people hold all the resources and power, depriving everyone else of resources and comfort?
