another case of lack of chemistry

tbh, the start of the story was really good. it was interesting and full of suspense; everyone was suspicious and it was lowkey stressful. however, i think the characters are.... bland, for lack of better words. they have no purpose outside of driving the plot going... which is unfortunate bc i think the characters and their relationships could've been made more interesting.

not you, robert. fuck you. oh my god he kept getting on my nerve tbh. his obsession is so weird i fear he should've been the one taking the psychopath test bc what THE FAWKKKKK IS THAT STALKERISH BEHAVIORRRRRRR. he lowkey feltike a character that was made for. uh. decoy..? like created like that so you would be suspicious at him.

honestly, up until the climax, it was interesting. but the end felt rushed, and in an attempt to rush the ending, they focus more on getting the plot forward rather than getting the characters time to shine. and yet some parts of the information felt repetitive..? might've overthinking this but when they were bringing up the same topic but on different POV, it felt like they explained from the very start rather than getting straight to where the new POV has any meaning..? idk how to explain it.

god what happened to baron genuinely made me sad too. it felt like they just sweep it under the rug too it makes me so sad. thinking back of the last moment jonathan talked to baron too.. it genuinely makes me wanna cry.

and GOD everything that happened to kister..... i wish they write a closure for him bc an implied, open-end like this after that dramatic read makes me wanna punch the wall. i wish there was some extras or sumn for closure ahhhhhhh!!!

overall, yeah, good read. good plot. mid execution. lowkey shallow emotions. could've been better but it was definitely a good speedrun read.
