Idk she’s rich, smart, has blood relations and resources, and can converse well. I think we overestimate CEOs considering all they do is sit on their ass, go golfing, and underpay workers to fatten their pockets
But i agree, shareholders do have a say on it a lot especially its been portrayed in the story how misogynistic the board is
Exhibit A is fucking Elon Musk, who’s the CEO of SpaceX and chief executive of Tesla. I mean, look at that guy, he’s a dumbass who said “Eventually, all life on Earth will be destroyed by the sun”. He doesn’t know anything about engineering, cars, or the space at that. He’s the living proof that anyone with money can be CEOs, it’s just a matter of connections and money honestly.
Being President of the US is not an easy job, but look who’s sitting their ass in power just because of money, connections, and ego. I’m saying if the MC so desires, I think she can do it. You’re actually right, in real life, it’s much harder to get elected to these positions if you’re a woman. And she was on a time crunch by how the movement of stocks can easily go downhill with the recent death of the chairman. Honestly, it’s just exhausting to see the contract marriage trope. I just hoped she doesn’t put herself in a position where she’s easily taken advantage for too long. She doesn’t really know the ML, why give him everything you have? She should at least slowly take hold of the company while putting the ML at the front instead of going for the anchor job. She doesn’t have the initiative to learn or earn that power. What changed from her previous life aside from relying on another man? No backbone no nothing. When things go awry with that guy (which as readers with knowledge, we know ML wont betray her), what is she left with? She can’t stand on her own. It’s frustrating
