there's a part of me that feels like it was v unnecessary. irl, it would be v bad because middle school is insanity + being isolated + parents divorce? horrible combo. but this manga brushed it over, + everything seems fine & dandy + even the mc himself dgaf & actually likes it because it's similar to his mangas lol. so, even if irl it would've been horrendous, in this manga setting, it seems easily dismissable if you j turn a blind eye to it (which is smth you should be doing to A LOT of mangas/manhwas anyways, rip)

That's so true, if this was irl setting, it'd be as you've said. But it's fiction so we just gotta turn down our common sense a bit hahahahah
