Hamsters usually last 1/2 yrs. Since he hasnt seen the boss in 3 yrs. It makes total sense
They can live for longer than that though if they're well taken care of, at least Syrian hamsters can. Up to like 5 years. It makes sense and I get it but still like damn...
From the stories I hear about hamsters, they often don't die of natural causes. They die in dumb ways.
That's usually if they're poorly taken care of :,) they need way more space and stuff than most people realize
