Maybe Linda was being threatened. The Killer might have said he’d kill those she cared about. But she could have accepted Six’s help in that case, unless she was too afraid to do so? Doesn't seem to be the case from her reaction tho.
Or maybe she was actually willing to become a ghost because she loved the Killer that much, enough to help him? But the face peeling part seems too much as well.
Or a shared grudge, especially if they both have some sort of vendetta against Noa’s family and is helping him out of revenge. Then again, the face peeling part is too much unless there was also a reason for that.
