Its not about her intelligent, this manchild been doing this to her for years, they way he talks to her, the way he treated her, all his action until this recently, proving her again and again he doesn't love her, he disappoint her again and again for years.
Then now he start to love bombing her, its giving suss and insincere to me as woman, like what is he trying to do, something is not right, must be some political motives behind all this.
She's not dumb, she's just fed up on spending more time to figuring him out, she rather read books and do what she love instead.
I am by no means backing him up. He is an ass (even if it's due to ignorance), and deserves to get whatever is coming to him in terms of angst and loneliness.
It doesn't change the fact she is being purposufelly ignorant about what's happening around her (it's about everyone's behaviour - not just his).
She is supposed to be smart, intelligent and perceptive. I am simply not seeing any of this in her at the moment. That's what's disappointing. Iwas hoping for her to get her revenge on him in full awareness of what her actions are doing to him.
She doesn’t want or need revenge. That’s the point of the title of the story. She couldn’t care less about him and his change in behavior since she’s found a new peace and interests while not worrying about why he is so disinterested in her and chasing the princess around. She’s spent years thinking about this and now she has decided not to give him a second thought. In her mind that no longer concerns her so she won’t be worrying about it. Compartmentalization probably.
Which is absolutely fair enough and I am all for it! However not giving someone a second thought and being ignorant (about many things, including political) are different and it is not something I expected from her character.
Again, I'm fully supporting her decision to give up on him and ignore his whole being.

Don't get me wrong - I'm all for her dumping him and going off on her own. However, I'd much prefer her doing this with full awareness.
Currently she's just being obtuse to a degree that's starting to make me question her intelligence.
