of course, i think it could've been written a bit better but i don't feel like he acted in a bad way when he found out Kiumi got assaulted?? It's not like Koh was a total stranger. He was worried for Kiumi but at the same time Shizume probably felt a bit betrayed by Koh. Shizume was very obviously upset and confronted Koh about it. And i feel like it makes sense with who Shizume is as a character too. As for the flashback scene i again feel, yeah, it could've been written a bit better but prior to those events they were still bestfriends. It wouldn't be totally farfetched to assume they'd still be friends as Shizume was also curious about his sexuality and Koh was the only other gay person he knew.
I don't think it was badly written. And i think sometimes you need to think a bit more than just "He was sexually assaulted/his boyfriend was sexually assaulted so he should be furious." Of course he was upset, it was very clear in my opinion. But he also wanted to talk to Koh about it right away.
