
That's extra elements up to the author, not necessary elements of the plot. Just because you would've wanted it doesn't mean they should. Those are two different concepts. The whole point was to know how they would end up together. We know. That's the whole plot.
And remember that side stories are also optional. The author doesn't owe you a side story. We could've also not gotten one.
It makes perfect sense for the story to end there from a narrative scheme point of view. Anything else is extra that we should be grateful for, not something we should demand. Just because you are used to getting such elements in Korean and Chinese webtoons doesn't mean the author should give you that.
