I get that. It's hard to properly comprehend how long 1500 years is but it is an enormous time frame. I'm actually suspending my disbelief at the prospect that Bihwan survived this solitary imprisonment and came out relatively sane because any one would go absolutely stark raving mad if they were imprisoned for even a 100 years let alone 1500.
Get behind me Bihwan! I'll defend you! I think people don't understand how long 1500 years is. It was literally 500 CE. It was the time of the Byzantine Empire. It was right dab in the middle of the Silla empire. The Middle Ages had just begun. The Roman western empire had just collapsed. The early Muslim conquests would begin a 100 years later. The Viking Age began 300 years later in 800 CE. The first plague pandemic occured in that century; for context, the Black Death occurred 800 years later. In the UK, the Anglo Saxons had been invading Britain for just over 20 years give or take. The Roman Empire lasted from 27 BCE to 1453 CE; Bihwan was imprisoned longer. Bihwan was imprisoned for all of that in one space that was unchanging and never-ending all alone by the person he loved most in the world. All things considered, I'd say he's doing pretty well.
