But there are other spoilers that just outright call him red flag for knowing mc but chose to pretend not to.

if you haven’t actually read the novel don’t give people word-of-mouth spoilers you heard from someone else. as a novel reader, no, the ML isn’t a red flag. the spoilers i’m seeing shared here by people who haven’t actually read the novel are either misinterpretations or just lies outright.
