As long as she follows her true feelings, and not a stupid sense of duty toward either the empire of her kid, I would believe you are right. There’s no right and wrong about how we feel. What matters is that she can just truly follow her heart and do what is the best for her.
I know this is probably an unpopular opinion, but I like the imperial couple making up. It's good on the emperor to realise his mistake. Though I do wish he actually apologized like bruh. But even the empress herself said that it's not enough but its a start. And hopefully things will get better from now on
