rape this rape that, this disgusting thing is now getting more common in yaoi..do artists/creators really have no other way to make a scene without sexual assault and rape in it? i hate how creators be throwing this scene and the next few chapters it will be forgotten like nothing..idk but if feels like this kind of thing will always have a bad result which is happening now—severe issues like this, is now getting ignored.. i know im not good at english but i hope yall know what im saying even tho my thoughts abt this matter is not making any sense.

To be fair….. it’s probably the artwork and plot your drawn to. It’s kinda hard to find the non rape plots when the tags aren’t really forthcoming. I’ve read plenty of manhwa with the absence of rape. You just have yet to find them

my point here is creator nowadays r making the rape as a subplot, like can they even make a scene where rape is not necessary at all..i hope you're getting my point

again, im pointing out how often rape is used in yaoi like it’s just a drama tool, then ignored after a few chapters. It makes the issue feel less serious, and that’s what bothers me the most..

I think you’re taking it too personally. It is a fictional story. You know. Not based on real people or events. It’s going to not be realistic. You need to start taking these stories realism with a grain of salt.

the rape sublot isn't exactly new. they've been doing this for more 10 years now. the older manhwa shaped the new authors maybe thats why they're puttin rape in their work jst like their predecessor

I didn’t take you as a new reader. I’m not a new reader either and I tend to gravitate towards these manhwa just bc they are was more interesting for me.
It’s not a new reader issue, is what’s your deciding to read based upon what your gravitating to first.
    I meant it like that

I don’t get why you’re getting so rude you need to stop reading into what I didn’t say.
Plus it our cultural background does matter here. Idk why you went straight into insults. I did read what you said, and I then gave my 2¢.
Maybe you need to back away from reading content like this or engaging in discussions if your going to go off on people randomly over a discussion.

We been new it isn’t a new sub plot. Ngl the story telling for it has gotten better in recent years, depending on the work you’re referring to. Japanese Manga tends to hardcore romanticize abusive plots, which isn’t bad when I want something like that. Sometimes I just like fucked up stories.
And then you have Korean manhwa that treats it seriously while also using it as characters development. It’s not treated as romantically or violently (I’ve seen worse come from manga)
And Chinese Manhua….. I have no idea since I don’t read much of it. It tends to be very censored.
    Idk what American authors do
Culturally the subplots are treated differently. Which is why it should be taken not personally, and instead how the element itself was used in the story. Rape subplots aren’t bad to have for a story. It can help certain people connect. I just think maybe if you don’t like how this story is treating it. You might need to look into a different cultural background in content.
